8/09/14 - Coat of arms video





SELF - EVALUATION 

1. Positive things in my work: 
I think is a really sincere video, that I try to talk with the "heart".  It's not just preparing a video for  homework, it's trying to talk a little bit about me, and how I am.
Also I think that the video is well done, with the images that make the speech less boring.

2. Things to improve:
I think I could talk a little bit more about every topic, and for that I would have had to prepare it more.
I'm sure I could have spent more time doing this homework.

3. Questions:
Was it difficult for you to talk about this topic?
Which one was the most difficult to talk about?
How did you feel when you saw it finished?

7/10/14 - Schooling the World




In these videos we can see the proccess that happened all around the world. By this proccess millions of people have been teached by people from the United States. We can see the role played by the modern education in the destruction of the world´s last indigenous cultures.

It criticises the thought about the neccessity of a unique form of modern scooling, it shows us the impact not only in children, but also in adults of each indigenous culture,
Indigenous were fine living by their owns values and teaching their children what they considered it has to be teached, but then as an indigenous saif “traditional ways of compassion, kindness and helping one anotherare slowly dying out”.

Before modern schooling their education focused on the spiritual teachings and now children only thinks about earn a lost of money.

The United States of America defends the ´scchooling the world´ because they consider it's important because children have to learn the economic system to make them competitive in the global economy; but ironically the countries they work at don't have a good economic system and much of the children that are learning these things don't even have food. 


We should really change this situation!

30/09/14 - Chapter 2 Examples

1. Examples of enculturation:
  • A child who is studying history in the school
  • Going to some places to see the traditional events since you are small.
  • Live with the family; they teach traditions and the way they live
2. Verbal and non verbal language:
  • Verbal: Basically, when we talk. "Hello", "hola", "kaixo", when you are saying this you are using verbal language. When we sing the "San Fermin's" song before the bull running.
  • Non verbal: you can only watch this symbolls, you can´t hear them. Gestures to say hello, with the hand, the head, shaking hands... Or giving two kisses when you meet someone.
3. Natural: 
In Spain is natural to eat around two.

4. Aspects of our culture:
From Spain:
  • Dantza: typical dance of Navarre and  the Basque country
  • Txalaparta: instrument to make music
  • Pintxo: Small amount of foof tipical in the North of Spain
From France:
  • Quiche
  • Macaroons
  • Crepe
5. Core values of one culture: 
The food, religion, traditions, thoughts, ideology, behavior...

6. Things that are in all cultures, in the majority of them and in some of them:
  •  Universal: weddings, music, education..
  •  Generality: religion, girls education..
  •  Particulary: potato omelette, burka..
7. My ideal culture: 
My ideal culture would be the one that respects all cultures and traditions. It would be the one that shares them, so all people can learn the different tradition and enrich themselves.
